Dónal O'Connell

Dónal co-founded Pegasus Capital in 2011 and has over 20 years investment banking experience.

He focusses on advising companies in the food & drink, healthcare and industrial sectors and has particular expertise in advising on sell-side transactions. Dónal has advised on over 40 successful corporate transactions including the sale of IdentiGEN Ltd. to Merck & Co., Inc., the sale of Empirical Bioscience, Inc. to Fortis Life Sciences LLC, the sale of Carroll Cuisine UC to private-equity backed Eight Fifty Food Group Ltd., the sale of the Xtratherm Group of Companies to Mohawk Industries, Inc., the acquisition of Two Sisters Red Meat Ltd. by Kepak Group UC, and the sale of the Stablelab business of Epona Biotech Ltd. to Zoetis, Inc.

Dónal is a graduate of Shannon College of Hotel Management. He also earned a Bachelor of Commerce from the National University of Ireland, Galway and an MBA from University College Dublin’s Smurfit Graduate School of Business.
