Independent Colleges Ltd. ("Independent Colleges") is a leading provider of third level courses to students in Ireland. The company also operates one of the largest English language teaching facilities in Ireland under the International House brand.

The business was owned by Independent News & Media plc and was non-core relative to their publishing activities. Pegasus Capital advised members of the Barry family on an acquisition of the company.

The transaction enabled the new owners to focus on growing the business and refining the course offering based on those courses that they believed would be most popular with students.
