Investment in Alkimii Limited from August Equity

Founded in 2015 by Ronan McAuley (CEO), Alkimii has grown to become a leading workforce management software platform for the hospitality sector, serving more than 55,000 users across Ireland, the UK and Europe from its headquarters in Ireland and its technology hub in Spain.

Pegasus Capital advised the shareholders of Alkimii Limited on its majority investment from UK private equity investor, August Equity.

Alkimii is a B2B SaaS platform that helps hospitality operators manage people, property and operations more efficiently. Its technology is used by more than 50% of hotel employees in Ireland and serves a blue-chip customer base across the UK and Ireland. Its platform supports customers in a sector where workforce visibility, operational control and service consistency are critical.

August Equity is a London-based private equity investor, focused on essential services and B2B software businesses across the UK and Ireland. The firm is led by Managing Partner David Lonsdale and Partner Katie Ballardie led the Alkimii transaction.

The transaction marks a significant milestone for the business, with August supporting continued investment in Alkimii’s go-to-market strategy and acceleration of its product roadmap. The business will continue to build on its strong foundations in Ireland while scaling its presence across the UK and Europe.

"Pegasus Capital have been a long-standing partner to us, and the support of David Lawrence and the whole team was crucial throughout our process with August Equity. They brought judgement, rigour and real commitment to every stage, and their knowledge of our business, built up over years rather than months, made a complex process far more manageable. I am very grateful to David and the team for helping us land the right partner."
