Acquisition of Walkro International BV by Monaghan Mushrooms Group

Pegasus Capital has advised Monaghan Mushrooms Group on the acquisitIon of 100% of Walkro InternatIonal BV (“Walkro”), Europe’s largest producer of substrate for the mushroom industry, from Belgian private equity fund Gimv.

Walkro has significant substrate productIon facilities in Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany. Monaghan Mushrooms Group had initially acquired a stake in Walkro in 2011. Monaghan Mushrooms Group is a fully integrated producer of substrate and mushrooms and one of Ireland’s leading family-owned food companies.
