Sale of TelLab to Celnor
TelLab operates from its INAB ISO 17025-accredited laboratory facilities, supporting a broad range of clients including utilities, transport operators, environmental regulators, local authorities and multinational life sciences and technology businesses across Ireland and beyond. It specialises in environmental analysis, water testing, fuel analysis, chemical manufacturing and research & development services.
Pegasus Capital advised the shareholders of TelLab on the sale of the business to Celnor Group. TelLab has developed a strong reputation for technical expertise and innovation, particularly in environmental monitoring, analytical chemistry, and condition monitoring services. TelLab also manufactures specialist laboratory chemicals, reagents, and standards for analytical, QA/QC, and research applications, and develops proprietary technologies and environmental sensing solutions through its research & development activities. The company’s highly accredited laboratory capabilities, strong technical team and long-standing customer relationships make it a country market leader and a strong local employer of highly-skilled staff.
Celnor Group was founded in 2023 by industry expert Simon Parrington and is backed by Inflexion Private Equity. The Group of ambitious, entrepreneur-led businesses is one of the most dynamic and rapidly growing organisations in the Testing, Inspection, Certification and Compliance (TICC) sector. It has grown from a concept to a £275m-revenue international group, with four divisions of specialist companies and over 2,300 colleagues operating across 60 locations in six countries, including the US, France and Belgium. The Group delivers essential data, consultancy and insights to more than 20,000 clients, helping protect people, property and the environment.
TelLab joins Celnor’s Analytical Sciences Division, significantly strengthening the Group’s environmental testing, laboratory analysis and scientific innovation capabilities across Ireland and the wider UK and European markets. Celnor will support TelLab as it continues to expand its analytical sciences and environmental monitoring capabilities.
