Sale of Soltec to Tradebe
Soltec (Ireland) Limited was founded by Michael Corcoran and specialises in transfer station operations and solvent recycling, supporting a wide range of industrial customers while operating to high Environmental, Health & Safety and Quality standards.
Pegasus Capital advised the Corcoran family shareholders of Soltec (Ireland) Limited on the sale of the business to by Tradebe. Soltec (Ireland) Limited provides a wide range of specialist services in the recovery of waste and the generation of recycled products for sale, serving a broad national client-base drawn from the pharmaceutical, engineering, education, medical and automotive sectors. Its mission is to ensure materials and products are recycled and reused for as long as possible, contributing to the circular economy. It completed a €6m+ multiyear investment programme, which expanded its capacity to accept, treat and recycle hazardous waste by 300%.
Tradebe is a Spanish-headquartered private business with activities across environmental services (recycling and recovery of waste and by-products), life sciences (purification and production of essential ingredients), health & nutrition (nutritional ingredients) and port services. By the end of the 2025 financial year, Tradebe had aggregate operating revenues of more than €830 million and operated more than 100 sites with over 3,000 employees across Europe and the USA.
The acquisition of Soltec (Ireland) Limited represents a strategic entry into the Irish market and reinforces Tradebe’s commitment to expanding its environmental services capabilities across the UK and Irish markets. The acquisition will further strengthen Tradebe’s ability to provide integrated waste management and resource recovery solutions to customers across the region.
